Presentation of pool betting to be transformed for racegoers from July 2018

Agreement between British racecourses and BoscaBet will enhance pool betting product for established and new customers alike

Racegoers will benefit from new and enhanced digital pool betting displays on British racecourses next year, following an agreement with platform provider BoscaBet.

The new pool betting service for 55 British racecourses has signed up Irish-based BoscaBet to deliver this new customer experience across all their racecourse displays from July 2018.

In an industry where information is paramount, BoscaBet will deliver a live, digital source of content to racecourse pool betting customers, including live pricing, racecard data, premium form content and sponsors’ ads.

BoscaBet will automate most of the content delivery but can also enable racecourses to manage this network centrally and at a local racecourse level.

Fergal Downey, CEO of BoscaBet said: “We’re delighted to be working with so many leading British racecourses in delivering such an exciting change in the industry.

“Our goal is to deliver a product that enhances the experience for seasoned racegoers and first-time visitors alike, through great content and dynamic digital display.

“The combination of remote management and automation will offer the perfect mix of control for the pool betting service and the associated racecourses. We are confident that our solution will bring new levels of excitement and engagement for punters.”

Nigel Roddis, Managing Director of the new pool betting entity, said: “The information provided to racegoers has been a key element of the project so far and we are delighted to have teamed up with BoscaBet to deliver what promises to be a significant enhancement for racegoers.”

Boscabet was recently endorsed by the BTC (Bookmakers Technology Consortium) as an authorised Digital Betting Shop Display solution for its members, which now encompasses over 500 independent betting shops in the UK and Ireland.
